Network Marketing Tools / MLM Tools

Having the right network marketing tools is critical for success using the Internet in your business. Before anyone can be successful using the Internet for network marketing, they must have the right set of network marketing tools. I used to teach furniture building and I know for a fact that when one of my students tried to use a screwdriver instead of a chisel, the results weren't very good. The result of using a sharp finely honed chisel on a fine piece of walnut was far better than trying to cut corners and not using the right tool for the job. Likewise, you need a professional set of network marketing tools to be effective and efficient in your network marketing or MLM business.

Remember, it is a business! So treat it like one. Don't try to skimp on the things that are necessary to be successful. MLM and network marketing already has a dubious reputation because of how some companies and distributors have operated their businesses. Don't try to do this on the cheap. Remember, your business prospects and customers remember their first impressions of you and your opportunity. Treat your business like business and yourself as a professional and in the end you'll reap the rewards.

It doesn't matter if you're having meetings in your home or going off to hotels every Thursday evening. Having the best network marketing tools and using them professionally will make your life much easier.

The Internet network marketing tools listed below are an absolute necessity for internet network marketing success. I'm using each of these tools in my business and it's a part of why we're having success with our Internet network marketing.

Network Marketing Business Cards

Even though this isn't the latest technology, professional designed and printed business cards say a lot about how you treat your business. Not having them when a prospect asks for one or providing one that looks like it was designed and printed in someone's garage will leave a lasting image... not the image you want to leave about how you treat your business.

You're trying to establish a relationship with your prospect. Make certain that your business cards project a professional image of you and your business. Be sure to include all of your relevant contact information including your phone number(s), email address and especially your website address if you're using the Internet for your network marketing business.

Home Phone and Cell Phone

Your customer and prospective business partner are buying you long before they buy your product or business opportunity. You're building a relationship and the phone is an important tool in connecting with prospect. You can use email and autoresponders to qualify prospects, but when it's time to close the deal, your voice on the phone or in person will go a long way toward establishing your credibility and a relationship.

If you're running your MLM or network marketing business internationally like is available with some MLM business opportunities, you should be using a digital voice-over-IP or VOIP phone service to keep your calling costs at a minumum and to call overseas. You might even consider using a video-phone that lets you basically conduct a video conference from your desktop.

Much of your business will be conducted on the run and you won't always be at home of the office to answer your phone. I recommend that in addition to having a home or office phone, that you also list your cell phone as a business number so when a customer or prospect can't reach you at your main number, they can call your cell phone.

And don't get just a cell phone. Buy a cell phone that also let you get your email.

Another important aspect for Internet network marketing success is being able to monitor your email remotely. I use and recommend the Blackberry Storm cell phone. It serves as cell phone, email, and also lets you surf the Internet when you're on the road.

E-mail Address

An e-mail address is a must in today's fast paced world. Your customers and prospects expect to be able to get in touch with you if not by phone than certainly via email. Some may even prefer email rather than the phone. They can also send you messages at times of the day when it may be too late or too early to place a call.

Be careful however, how you use email to communicate with your customers and prospects. Ask them if this is their preferred method of contact and get their permission before you send any correspondence.

An Internet network marketer must have a professional e-mail system. If you're using a website like I am to generate thousands of prospect, you need a good way to qualify them and sort them. One of my network marketing companies like to say that I'm not selling, I'm sorting... sorting through those who want to investigate a home-based business opportunity and those who don't.

I can't begin to do that manually with the numbers I generate with the Internet so I have to have a system that automates the initial qualification of prospects. I use various email tools to do that including a professional email contact management system and email autoresponders.

Personal Business Website

For an Internet Network Marketer, this is one of the most important network marketing tools you'll need. It's the heart of your prospecting and will become the hub of your Internet network marketing business. Your company may provide you with a copy of their distributor website, but it's not different than all of the other distributor websites out there so the search engines won't find them because their all duplicated content and their's no way to differentiate yourself from the other distributors. Because of that you're not branded as a leader in your field as you would be if you established yourself as an expert on your own website.

You also need to build a huge customer and prospective business partner database. If they believe in you, you're knowledge and expertise, you've can always market anything the them at any time.

You must have your own personal business website, where you can collect and own the list of prospective customers and business partners.
