There are two ways to build your Internet network marketing business: 1) It is important to find customers; and 2) you must find partners to join your organization and become business builders. That's where the power of duplication helps your business to grow. Finding customers is usually pretty easy on the Internet especially if you like the products yourself and can provide information and opportunities to purchase online. You're only going to see your business grow, however, if you can find others to join you and build their own businesses as a part of your organization. You need an endless supply of prospects to do that.
There are several approaches and technologies you can use for looking for prospects online, however, as you'll see later, the most effective approach is to have your prospects find you rather than you going after them. This is the true power in your internet network marketing business.
Like building your network marketing business offline, one of the most common approaches to use is to purchase leads, but instead of calling them you use email to send them information about your business. The problem with this is that unless they already know you, you don't have a chance to build a relationship with them before you try to sell them on your business opportunity. You don't even know yet, if they're interested, yet you're spending your time sending them email messages.
Also, do you know how few unsolicited email messages are opened by those who don't know the person who sent them the message? Do you open email from people you don't know? I don't. Even when using an email management system like Oprius, it's a good day if more than 10% of your email messages are opened by your prospects, and fewer than that are read.
Another method used those running an Internet network marketing business is to combine email and the phone. Network marketers will call the prospect to let them know to expect an email with information in it about your offering. This may result in a few more of your messages being opened and read, but it also takes a lot of your time to make those calls and not everyone you talked to was even interested in your opportunity.
Another method is to call the lead and try to set an appointment for a future call, meeting, or webinar to talk the them about your opportunity. This is great if your prospect is really interested in their own business, but if they're just being polite, you might take a half hour to an hour with one prospect and they might not be interested in anything you have to say. That's not a very effective use of your time and even if you did this all day, at best, you might be able to talk to 6 or 8 prospects in a day. There must be a better way to do this!
And finally, another method is to schedule a webinar, call and invite your prospect to attend, and then call them afterward to see if they want to join or not.
In each case above, you're using several technologies: phone, email, and webinars. But most importantly in the examples above, the Internet network marketer is pursuing (hunting) the prospect. You also don't have any opportunity to establish a relationship with the person before you approach them about your business.
Most people will decide if they want to join your business opportunity because they've gotten to know you and find you a credible person to do business with. Until they know you, you're really just spinning your wheels. There must be a better way to operate your Internet network marketing business. Thankfully, there is!
A more effective approach for an internet network marketing business is to set yourself up to be pursued and hunted down by your prospect. I don't want to be chasing after prospects to get them into my business. I don't want to waste my time talking to people who aren't interested in going into business. Instead, I want them to come running to me because they're so interested in my business, they can't wait to talk to me about it. That means that I don't have to sell them on anything. They're selling themselves. They're convincing themselves that they want to be a part of my business. This takes all the pressure off of me and the prospect.
I'm using a website about network marketing to attract people to my business. Remember that word “attract” the root of “attraction marketing.” I could also create a valuable content based website about the products that I'm selling. Either way, if people are interested in getting information about network marketing, home-based businesses, or my website, they'll find my website and more importantly, they'll find me.
Once they find my website, it's up to me to be credible and to present myself as someone they are interested in getting into business with. And once they're thinking like that, I've got a warm prospect to talk to. And the great thing about this, is that I can automate the process and not have to spend any time with someone until I know they're interested in getting more information about my business opportunity.
What a great way to do busines. That's being efficient and effectively using my limited time with the most likely prospects.
